CPVC can be considered a relative of PVC. In many respects they are related but should not be used interchangeably. Both are made of the same basic elements with one distinguishing factor. CPVC is altered by free radical chlorination reaction, which essentially increases the material’s chlorine content. CPVC is also a thermoplastic molded into many of the same products that PVC has to sell. However Sri Krishna Rotomoulds is leading CPVC/UPVC pipes suppliers in Secunderabad hence you need not to move many places for various purposes.
This makeup disparity helps CPVC to withstand a wider temperature range. This is why many building codes allow CPVC to be used in hot water applications, as opposed to PVC. The ASTM specification calls for the use of PVC in applications not reaching 140 degrees F.
Temperatures over this will cause the material to soften and the joints to break. Conversely, CPVC can handle temperature upto 200 degree F. We are a PVC pipes suppliers in hyderabad ensuring the safety and security of such pipes wherever you use.
The two formulations have a few other variations. Many PVC pipes in North America use a Nominal Pipe Size (NPS), while CPVC is available in either of the standard NPS sizes-OR-CTS (Copper Tube Size).
The copper tube sizing system is a completely different sizing system than Nominal Pipe Size, and as the name suggests, it is the same system used for copper tube pipe.
